The Foundation Phase Framerwork states "that ICT should be holistic and intergral across the curriculum.
Childrens ICT skills, knowledge and understanding should be developed through a range of experiences.
As such out ICT vision for the school is :-
We aim fo the pupils in our school to have opportunity to develop their skills across the seven areas of learning in the Foundation Phase, in order for them to become confident and effecttive users. Whenever possible all staff will use ICT to enhance their role in the setting and develop their own personal skills to enable them to become more effective practitioners.
This will be done by
Providing learning opportunties that allow children to use ICT with purpose and enjoyment.
Giving all children the opportunity to use ICT to develop skills across areas of learning.
Teaching children to use equipment correctly.
Teaching correct ICT vocabulary / terminology.
Encouraging children to observe and talk abou the use of ICT in enviorment.
Encouraging children to show each other how to use ICT equimpment.
Helping alll children to become autonomous users of ICT.
