Aims of the Lower Foundation Phase Unit.
1. To create an enviroment which promotes love, security and a sense of belonging, regardless of race, gender,disability.
2. To show consideration and respect for others.
3. To create an enviroment which promotes positive attiudes towards discipline, behaviour and co-operation.
4.To provide a quality enviroment for the children to learn in, indoors and outdoors.
5. To provide oppurtunities for the children to learn through play and exploration.
6. To encourage each child to reach their full potential.
7. To enable each child to form realtionships with his/her peer groups and adults.
8. To encourage independence and a sense of responsibility.
9. To raise awarenesss of the local community and world of work.
10. To enable each child to develop their ICT skills.
11. To help them to become healthy, active citizens.
12. To raise awareness of their Welsh identity and the culture of others.
13. To build on what the child can do and take the learning forward from this point.
